There is definitely some wiggle room with measurements, but to be sure we are on the same page, here is a graphic to shows where to measure the stump to get a good idea of how much it costs to get removed. Measure where you see the green arrow, avoid measuring where the red arrow is. As you can see, you want to measure the stump at the base where it comes out of the ground, since that’s where the grinding starts!
